If you or someone you know is struggling, help is out there. Our mission is to ensure that those in need are aware of available resources as well as identify gaps and shortcomings in current systems, in order to help develop a more aware, supportive, and rehabilitative community. Homelessness can be a vicious cycle that is very difficult to break. While there are nearly as many reasons for ending up on the streets as there are people on them, the challenges are universal. You typically can't maintain a place to live without a job, and you can't easily maintain a job without a stable place to sleep (as well as eat, bathe, launder and store your clothing, and keep your belongings secure.) Many people that are struggling today simply need help getting a foothold on stable ground so they can provide for themselves again. Some people need a bit more support to develop work and finance management skills, or in managing addiction. Still others may be unable to provide for themselves, and we must ensure we are doing all that we can to provide services, off the streets, for these vulnerable people. Our vision is a greater coordinated effort from existing programs and services to create a support network to better meet the challenges faced by thousands of people in OKC and the metro area. Where no solution currently exists to adequately address a problem, we hope to work together to create one. Resources in Norman:
